A musical journey through boogie-woogie, soul, swing and the timeless melodies of Mina.
Saturday, 24 October and Sunday, 25 October 2026 – Cineteatro Imperia
Music, a universal language capable of bringing together genres, emotions and generations, will take centre stage at “Armonie di Monreale”, a concert series organised by the City of Monreale and scheduled for Saturday, 24 October and Sunday, 25 October 2026, at the Cineteatro Imperia on Via della Repubblica in Monreale.
The two evening events have been designed to offer audiences a high-quality musical experience, featuring captivating sounds and original interpretations in a setting that celebrates culture and live entertainment.
Commenting on the initiative are Alberto Arcidiacono, Mayor of the City of Monreale, and Salvo Giangreco, Councillor for Entertainment: “Our administration continues to invest wholeheartedly in cultural promotion and in enhancing the role of the Cineteatro Imperia, which has become a key landmark in our city’s artistic and social life. With ‘Armonie di Monreale’, we are offering residents and visitors a programme of the highest calibre, ranging from the exhilarating international sounds of jazz and blues to original interpretations of the great classics of Italian music. We invite everyone to join us for these two outstanding evenings, designed to bring us together through beauty, shared experiences and great music.”
The series will open on Saturday, 24 October, at 9:00 pm, with the Tom Seals Band, whose concert will explore the sounds and atmospheres of boogie-woogie, blues, soul and swing. The evening will feature Tom Seals, a pianist and performer who transforms the piano into a powerful engine of rhythm and expression, delivering an energetic and captivating show.
On Sunday, 25 October, also at 9:00 pm, the spotlight will turn to “Mina Reimagined – Mina’s Voice, the Soul of Jazz”, a musical project performed by the Antonella Schirò Quintet, offering a sophisticated reinterpretation of the repertoire of one of the most iconic voices in Italian music.
Antonella Schirò’s voice will guide audiences on a musical journey in which Mina’s greatest songs meet the atmospheres and expressive freedom of jazz. Joining her on stage will be Fabio Lannino on double bass, Roberto Macrì on piano, Aldo Oliveri on trumpet and Fabrizio Giambanco on drums. Together, the five musicians combine interpretative sensitivity with musical exploration, breathing new life into melodies that have become part of Italy’s collective cultural memory.
“Armonie di Monreale” aims to strengthen the connection between the local community, culture and live entertainment, offering residents and visitors two evenings dedicated to live music and artistic excellence. The initiative will enrich Monreale’s cultural programme, making music an opportunity for connection, participation and shared enjoyment.
Two evenings, two distinct musical worlds and one common thread: the power of music to move, surprise and bring people together.
